More on Boston Bruins Tickets

The team’s rich history showcases times of grace and glory, but also times of inconsistencies and failures. The legacy of the Boston Bruins showcases the victory of six Stanley Cup championships (the fifth most of all-time and the second-most of any American NHL team), and some of the most notable names in the NHL, such as Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque.

Around 2008, the Bruins decided to step into a new direction. While some may argue that the Bruin’s planned new resurgence was off to a shaky start, no one could deny that the flare and passion that accompanied some terrific moments such as when, in 2010, the Bruins faced the Carolina Hurricanes and Daniel Paille, Steve Begin, and Blake Wheeler worked together for the first-ever recognized trio of short-handed goals within a single penalty kill, in only 1:04 of game time.
But if some considered the beginning of the Bruins’ reinvention as unstable and inefficient, the recent years in Bruins history are universally praised and show that the flame of excellence never truly died out.

In the 2011 playoffs, for the first time in NHL history, the Bruins were able to win a 7-game series without having to score a single power-play goal against the Montreal Canadiens. The Bruins moved on to defeat and horribly humiliate the Philadelphia Flyers in four games during the Eastern Conference Finals, which was appropriate vengeance for the Flyers’ victory over the Bruins the previous year. In the end, in one of the most heart-racing and intense Stanley Cup Finals ever, the Bruins defeated the Vancouver Canucks and claimed the Stanley Cup.

The following year, the Bruins made sure to keep their momentum going. The 2011-2012 playoffs eventually ended with the Bruins winning the Northeast Division title, but ultimately being defeated by the Washington Capitals in the first round of the playoffs.
Following goalie Tim Thomas’ controversial decision to not participate in the 2012-2013 season, the Bruins’ goalie pair was composed of Tuukka Rask and Anton Khubodin. Following the lockout, the Bruins would face the Chicago Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup Finals. While the Bruins did not reclaim the Cup and did fall in Game 6, their presence in the finals further demonstrated the passion to win that the Boston Bruins possess.

Whether you’re hoping to purchase Boston Bruins tickets to watch the Bruins take on their infamous rivals the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre in March, or whether you’d like to see the Bruins in January to watch as they pay back the Blackhawks for the defeat in last year’s finals,
