Its June 1985 and k.d. lang is on an outdoor stage at a small Western Canadian city folk festival with her band, The Reclines. Short hair, Buddy Holly glasses, shirt n skirt and cut-off cowboy boots, and she's flinging herself around the stage belting out Johnny Get Angry before lying flat on her back silently and moaning, "Show me that you care..."
July 2004, and k.d. lang, white shirt and bare feet, slowly strides across the stage of Salle Wilfrid Pelletier at the Montreal Jazz Festival, singing "Crying," occasionally bending double to push out those incredibly strong, true notes that blew Roy Orbison away. And the audience as well: it was just her fifth song of the concert and she was given an extended standing ovation.
If you haven't seen k.d. perform before, or even if you have, don't you think the time is right to get into one of those concert experiences and see why she's one of the great Canadian vocalists, and perhaps the greatest ever? k.d. lang tickets are just a click or call away here at Quality Plus Tickets.
