As the trade deadline approaches, rumour is the Montreal Canadiens will hold onto goaltenders Jaroslav Halak and Carey Price, who incidentally was on fire against the Bruins in Boston last night.  Now, you might recall that Halak asked to be traded from the Habs earlier in the season if management could not and/or would not make him their number one goalie.  Since then he has arguably been the saviour of the Canadiens.  He didn’t have a great time in the Olympics and was anxious to get back to Montreal.  But will he stick around if he remains the back-up goalie?? Should he stick around?? Are the Canadiens crazy to keep both goalies and risk losing Halak???  I say keep Halak and get rid of Price who for the most part, has been much less than mediocre.

Sydney Crosby,

He’s had his descendants and has always prove them wrong. But now with the greatest glory beyond Stanley Cup victory.  Acquiring patriotic folklore is the ultimate legend. Oh! Canada maybe amended to we stand on in AWE for Syd the MAN!

It ended with a BANG.  The much anticipated Gold medal hockey game of Team USA vs Team Canada was a nail biter with the Americans tying up the game with less than a minute in regulation time.  Sid the Kid, who was criticized by many for not “doing more” scored the winning goal and had non-supporters chanting his name.

The closing ceremonies saw Joannie Rochette carrying the Canadian Flag.  Canadian superstars were present en-masse with artists from all across the nation performing before the 60,000 cheering spectators.

Now that the Olympics are over it’s time to look forward to the newness of spring..and your favorite hockey team making the play-offs.  It might not be the olympics but play-off hockey is still pretty exciting.

Who do you think will go all the way this year??  Will the Canadiens make it to the play-offs at all???  I think they will…in fact, I think they will make it to the finals.  What do you think??
