Habs management has hinted that the new season will bring with it the naming of a new captain. So who will it be?? Andrei Markov, Brian Gionta, Josh Georges are the three reported front-runners.
Who do you think it should be?? And will having a team Captain really make a difference with the team?? And does management really care what the fans think?? Let qualityplustickets.com know what you think.
Finally, the naysayers have their way, the games are over and the dreams have succumb to the negative. Or is it over? The Habs have covered a lot of ground to accomplish a tour of the Conference final in which both the Philadelphia Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens were not suppose to be there. Or even make the playoffs. Our under achieving Habs went to the third round on fairy dust and luck and sweat and hard work, falling short of perfection. Who can say that they are not better than 28 other teams. The magic word is parity, 5 teams battled the last 2 spots in the eastern conference and we made it! Beating 1st and 2nd place teams to advance to the Conference finals in itself was a championship but that wasn’t enough for the naysayers. Playing above your abilities is what you do in sports. Congratulation Montreal Canadiens (GO Habs GO).
Bring back the Expos! like the Grand Prix F1.

Let’s not start the blame game yet, there are other teams at the wire as well. Have the Canadiens got what it takes to guide their own playoff hopes? Five teams await the 48 hr deadline with the spread of 3 points. This is a big gambling week in Montreal with 6/49 at 18 million and the Lotto Max at 25 million and the Montreal Canadiens fans at to numerous to count!!!!
He’s had his descendants and has always prove them wrong. But now with the greatest glory beyond Stanley Cup victory. Acquiring patriotic folklore is the ultimate legend. Oh! Canada maybe amended to we stand on in AWE for Syd the MAN!

It ended with a BANG. The much anticipated Gold medal hockey game of Team USA vs Team Canada was a nail biter with the Americans tying up the game with less than a minute in regulation time. Sid the Kid, who was criticized by many for not “doing more” scored the winning goal and had non-supporters chanting his name.
The closing ceremonies saw Joannie Rochette carrying the Canadian Flag. Canadian superstars were present en-masse with artists from all across the nation performing before the 60,000 cheering spectators.
Now that the Olympics are over it’s time to look forward to the newness of spring..and your favorite hockey team making the play-offs. It might not be the olympics but play-off hockey is still pretty exciting.
Who do you think will go all the way this year?? Will the Canadiens make it to the play-offs at all??? I think they will…in fact, I think they will make it to the finals. What do you think??
Canada added another Olympic Gold Medal to their haul after the women’s hockey team won over Team USA Thursday night 2-0. But it’s their post-game antics that have most people talking today. Its’ been reported that about an hour after the winners left the ice, they returned. But this time it wasn’t hockey sticks they were brandishing, rather champagne, beer and…..cigars. The team has since apologized for their un-ethical behavior. What do you think?? Should they lose their medal for their less than sportsmanlike behaviour?? Or are people making something out of nothing???
Don’t miss out on the Olympic action. QualityPlusTickets.com has tickets for ALL Olympic events.
Canada might not “Own the Podium” but they certainly don’t have anything to be ashamed of. As of this morning, Canada stood 4th in the medal standings with 15 medals, including 7 GOLD. Todays Gold Medal Womans hockey game has Team Canada vs Team USA and unless there’s some major mishap, it looks like Canada will be winning Gold on this one as well. In the Meantime, Canadian Mens hockey players get a day off, preparing to go against Slovakia in the semi-final round. Tickets for most Olympic events are sold out but as usual, QualityPlusTickets has amazing seats for all events, sold out or not. Don’t miss out, Get an Olympic seat from QualityPlusTickets.com
Team Canada beat Germany 8-2 before a sold out crowd at Canada’s Hockey Place last night. And today, they face Russia. It’s a do or die game with hometown favorite Sidney Crosby going against Alex Ovechkin. The deep rooted rivalry between the two teams dates way back with the most recent memories being of Canada losing the past 2 World Championshipes to Russia. Iw was laso the Russians who knocked Canada out of the 2006 Olympic tournament with a 2-0 vicory in the quarterfinals. It’s sure to be another sell out crowd but have no fear, QualityPlusTickets.com ALWAYS has a quality seat for you.
